My role on this production combined Post-Production Coordination with Lead Offline Editing and Online Editing responsibilities. I managed the full post-production workflow, coordinating across departments and overseeing communication between the director, producer, and client throughout the approval process.
I was responsible for ensuring alignment from offline edit through to final mix, colour grade, and delivery, working closely with each department to maintain consistency and meet deadlines. I also contributed to the development of the title sequence and overall visual style of the show, helping shape the final tone and feel through the edit.
A key challenge on this show was the tight turnaround schedule combined with the sensitivities of the show being set in a hospital environment. As the editor, I had to ensure the content remained authentic, contextually accurate, and respectful of real-life environments while still shaping it into a compelling narrative.
An additional complexity was working in a language I do not speak or understand, which required careful attention to performance, context, and editorial cues rather than dialogue alone. This was particularly important given the emotionally heavy subject matter, where tone and pacing needed to be handled with care to maintain both realism and impact.
