On Die Byl, I worked as Post-Production Coordinator, Offline Editor, and Online Editor. My responsibilities included managing post-production schedules, coordinating workflows, and ensuring that all deadlines were consistently met throughout the production. In addition to overseeing the day-to-day progress of the post team, I edited selected episodes and was responsible for the online finishing and final delivery of every episode, ensuring each programme met the required technical and broadcast standards.
One of the biggest challenges on Die Byl was maintaining the exceptionally high production and editorial standards established in the first two seasons while ensuring the series continued to feel engaging and authentic. Given the show's dark and often emotionally challenging subject matter, a key part of the editorial process involved finding the right balance between effective storytelling and sensitivity to the material. This required careful consideration of pacing, tone, and narrative focus to ensure the content remained compelling without losing sight of the human impact and emotional weight of the stories being told.
